Across the Rossendale Circuit, we have lots of groups, activities and stuff going on! Some are church-run and some come from outside the church and use our buildings. From study groups to toddler groups to drop-ins and art groups, there's so much you can get involved in and anyone is more than welcome!

 

Some groups have someone to contact in their description but if not and you need some more information you can contact us and we can direct you to the right person.

Young at Heart is a social group for over 55's or as one of the members Jackie says, 'Anyone who's alive!' It's a place to have a chat with a hot drink and good company, they often have speakers, activities and even trips out! All for just £3  time.

Debbie's Study group

Debbie is one of the circuits Local Preachers, she leads this study group where they're currently exploring the 'Women of the Bible' but don't think you have to be a woman to join! The group discuss faith and the Bible but also their own lives and experiences, even if you don't know much about the Bible, don't be afraid to come along!

A drop-in for the local community in Bacup, whether you need help, some advice, or whether you just want to have a chat over a cup of tea, you'll be more than welcome. 

At 10:30 there is opportunity to pause for prayer or join a discussion group, this alternates each week.

Irwell Vale café

Irwell Vale run a café on a Sunday afternoon, a great place for a break if you're out on a walk or if you're on the steam train why not stop off at the town? Warm-up with a hot drink and a meal in a friendly atmosphere.

The art group is always happy to welcome new artists of any skill level. If you just want to make art in good company then why not try the 'Free & Easy' art group on Fridays, if you want some direction and advice on art then try the 'Tutored' art group on Wednesdays!

Newville Chorus Singing Group

The WI

The WI, or Women's Institute, is a well known national organisation that aims to offer women the chance to learn new skills and get involved with current issues that matter to them. The WI group for our local area meets at Newchurch, often including discussion, speakers and activities.

Pendlebairn Dog Training

Pendlebairn Dog Training comes to Irwell Vale each week for their group dog training, learn how to help you and your dog live happily together alongside other dog owners! As these training sessions need to be booked onto so they don't get too full, it's best to contact them through their Facebook page.

A drop-in for the local community with a brew, cakes, activities like dominoes, crafts, knitting and good company! All welcome for company, advice and a good chat.

Fellowship Group

A fellowship meeting starting with a Jacob's join meal followed by a praise time at 7:30 and rounded off with a Bible or DVD study. The group are really keen to welcome new people to their Thursday fellowship and promise it to be an enjoyable time with good company!

Prayer Meeting

A short prayer meeting, roughly half an hour, a lovely time of sharing. Everyone is welcome, no pressure to share if you don't want to.

A monthly luncheon club, a time to meet friends, enjoy a lovely meal prepared by a wonderful group of volunteers and enjoy a homely atmosphere. It's also free! All Welcome.

Men On Tour

A group of men, some Christians, some not, who meet for a brew and a chat each week. Various day trips were organised by the group last year and will continue into 2020, they are not just for the group members but open to everyone!  

Rainbow tots

Rainbow tots is for babies and children under the age of 4 and their carers, there are lots of toys and games for the children and a brew and cakes for the adults! The group stays open during the holidays and there is usually a 'Mini Holiday Club' for children aged 4 - 11. 

Next Mini Holiday Club: Tuesday 18th February, 1:00 to 2:30 pm with Rainbow tots open at the same time.
